My Story

Hi, my name is Deon Carelsen, and I created Birthday Reminder Pro!

I'm a solo entrepreneur based in Port Elizabeth, South Africa, working from home with my two cats who think they're my coworkers.

Birthday Reminder Pro is my first coding project, and I really hope you enjoy using it.

The idea came from a simple frustration: I kept missing birthdays, even though I use an iPhone. For some reason, the reminders just didn’t work!

I wanted something simple: a birthday reminder service that emails me every morning with today’s birthdays, plus a heads-up a week in advance so I could plan something special, buy a gift, or just reach out meaningfully. I also wanted a central place where I could add, edit, and manage birthdays — and see all the upcoming birthdays on one easy-to-read page.

That’s how Birthday Reminder Pro was born.
